How to claim Rental Hardship

Make sure this is done first w/ your landlord
• File a Rental Hardship form with your landlord (download below w/ instructions)
Are you Eligible?
• Income negatively affected because of covid
• Missed rent, Past due utilities (excludes phone and internet bill)
• The household’s income must be at or below 80% of the Area Median Income
• You can't be receiving other federal rental assistance
Eviction Moratorium Extension
As of 1/29/2021 eviction protection was extended till 6/30/2021 as long as you follow certain rules.
Q: How much rent do tenants have to pay to qualify for eviction protection?
A: Tenants must continue to pay 25% of their rental obligations through June 30, 2021.
